Today the design teams of Scor-Pal and My Favorite Things are engaged in a blog hop. Check out what all the designers have done this month.

For my first card, I used a I used a premade card from DCWV which I thought would be a perfect compliment to the MFT stamp and die combo (You're Just My Type) with all the varied letters.

Using my Scor-Pal, I scored down approximately 1" from the top edge, then scored 3 lines up from the bottom edge. A little black ink across the lines really helps them stand out.

I used a Spellbinders Circle Die to cut the black circle and added it to the front of the card as a base for the images.

The typewriter and sentiment were stamped and embossed with Colorbox Donna Salazar Black Inx and Embossing Powder and then die cut with the coordinating Die-namics die from MFT. Pop dots were added behind the typewriter for some dimension.

This next card is an easel card, which is so easy to make using my Scor-Pal. I cut my cardstock to 5 1/2" x 11, then scored it in half to create the card. I then scored 2 3/4" up on the top panel and folded it down to create the easel. A top panel cut 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" created the top layer.

I stamped MFT's Sunflower Girl on white cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I die cut her into an oval shape and die cut coordinating panels to mat her, adding foam adhesives between the layers. A ribbon around the center and several stickpins finished her off nicely.

I used coordinating dies for the sentiment which is also from the Sunflower Girl stamp set.

My post at Justimagine Crafts shows how versatile these punches can be. I didn't want to detract from the patterns in this card, so I opted to use punch 906 to create a border to span the length of my card. I think it added just the final touch it needed. A sentiment was added to the right so as not to distract from the punched edge.

Lovin' MFT stamps! They are just so much fun to work with.

On this card, I stamped the image with Black Memento Ink and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her dress using some Prima pattern papers and then mounted her onto an Oval die and then a Beaded Oval die frame.

I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment with Colobox Donna Salazar Chiffon Inx and Embossing Powders - love the look.

It's hard to see, but I added Clearsnap Smooch Glitz to the heart for some sparkle.

The pattern paper is LYB and it was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Then I inked it with Colorbox Chalk Ink for a little added color. The sentiment was stamped in Colorbox Donna Salazar Black Inx and Embossing Powder.

I used punch 909 to create the border across the card and Clearsnap Design Adhesives and Designer Foils for the pennant.

As we near Valentine's Day, it's time to get those cards ready. I created this fun 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card from black cardstock, using lots of Clearsnap products.

Clearsnap's Jumbo Rollagraph with Column Relief was used with Ancient Page Chocolate Ink, covering the card front. I then spritzed the card with Vannilla Shimmer and set it aside to dry. The hearts were cut from black cardstock using Spellbinders Scalloped Heart dies and from pink cardstock using Spellbinders Heart die. I used Scor-tape across the heart, pulling up one layer at a time and adding glitter. This method gave me a nice clean edge between colors of glitter.

Lavender ink was used around the edge of the card, gently inking inward to create a soft appearance to the card. "Love" was cut from Design Adhesives and covered with black embossing powder on pink cardstock. Once matted on black cardstock, I added it to the card with foam adhesive for dimension.

Puppy Love

Gary and Paulie, the puppy we didn't know we wanted! Such a love affair those two have!!!

The Kreaxions Circle Cutter was a perfect tool to use to create the perfect sized circles for this layout. I cut the black circle at 10 1/2", then the white at 10". Then I machine stitched all the layers together. I used punch #911 across the center for some more love.

Basic Grey's Basic line was used as the layout base. Basic Grey's Origin Line was used as accents across the page and Bazzill yellow cardstock was used as the photo mats. Black and brown cardstock were used as additional accent colors. The apron was cut at "fit to page" from brown pattern paper, then again from white cardstock. I centered it across both pages and cut it in half, inking all edges with brown ink.

"Making" was cut with the Plantin cartridge in shadow feature from brown cardstock and normal from yellow cardstock.

"Cookies" was cut at 3" and then an oval was placed behind to create a shadow effect. A Basic Grey label sticker was placed at the apron top.

The mixing bowl was cut from the Basic Grey pattern paper and inked with brown ink. It was aligned so that the edges would be off the page. I created my journaling block and inserted that inside the mixing bowl. A rolling pin was cut at 3" from yellow cardstock and again from white and inked. "Ingredients" was cut at 1" from white cardstock and inked.

Larger utensils were cut, inked and added to the layout with a brad. "Preparation" was cut at 1" from black cardstock and added with a double mat.

"Cookies" was inked with brown ink, then added to an oval mat. The tiny utensils in the apron pocket were cut at at 1" and placed inside the apron pocket. Foam adhesives were added for a little dimension.

Got my hands on some cute Penny Black stamps some time ago and just got around to creating with them. They are just so cute and sweet!

I used Clearsnap's Rollagraph with Wordsworth Wheel and Wicked Black ink to ink up the card backdrop. Then I chose some Theresa Collins pattern paper to use on top. I matted it first with some black cardstock.

I stamped the image on Cryogen White and colored with the following Copic Markers:
Cupcake wrapper and icing: R29, R22, R20
Cupcake: E15, E33, #53
Dress: R37, R35,R22
Hair: E37, 15, E33
Bow: R 37, R35
Wings: G24, G21

Once colored I die cut into a circle with Spellbinders Circle Die and inked the edges with Donna Salazar Chiffon Inx. Then I cut black cardstock with the Scalloped Circle Die and added this to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with Wicked Black ink and then embossed with Clear embossing powder. I inked the edges with Donna Salazar Chiffon Inx and added it to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

I was playing with inks yesterday and this card is the result. I love the soft, subtle colors of the Soft Pastels Colorbox Chalk Paintbox.

Using the Jumbo Rollagraph Wheel - Define It and Watermark Embossing Ink , I created a pattern on gray cardstock, which I then embossed with Colorbox Donna Salazar Jasmine Embossing Powder. Using Foam Stylus Tips. I added colors from the Soft Pastels Colorbox Chalk Paintbox. I then used a tissue to rub off some ink, allowing the embossed words to show through.

I stamped my image with Colorbox Donna Salazar Black Inx and then embossed with Colorbox Donna Salazar Black Embossing Powder. I used Spellbinders dies to set my image and create the label. Hero Arts stamp with Colorbox Donna Salazar Black Inx was used on white cardstock that was cut to fit the label.

This Magnolia image was fun and quick to work with, just needing a few Copic markers to blend the colors. I used the new Clearsnap Emboss Gloss on the hat's trim and added Donna Salazar's Jasmine Embossing Powder. Love it. Now you can emboss anything, anywhere!!

I also used Donna Salazar's Truffle Inx to outline all the papers.

Have a sweet Christmas.

Scor 8 1/2" x 10" cardstock.

Use the package Rollagraph Wheel with Stephanie Barnard Strawberry Ink on a strip of cardstock approximately 2x8. Then emboss with Scentz Peppermint and Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder.

Stamp a Hero Arts sentiment on white cardstock and emboss with Scentz Peppermint and Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder.

Place some kisses in a cellophane bag and tie the sentiment on with Twine.

Once the box is complete, add some Glue Gloss and Fairy Dust Glitter.

Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve to you. This is today's post at Just Imagine / Kreaxions.

As we all know, tomorrow is THE day. Hope everyone is done with their shopping and gift wrapping and taking some time to enjoy and relax. Just in case you need to create a card, here's a perfect one for today.

Because I didn't want to take away from the stamped image by using pattern papers, I opted to use Kreaxions punch 312 along the edge of the card. It's a perfect addition to the stamped image. As you can see, a large and small snowflake is punched each time you use the punch. Since I wanted the punched snowflakes to show, I also punched a strip of white cardstock and adhered it "off center" under the edge of the card.

The image was stamped on blue, white, pink and gray cardstock with Colorbox's Donna Salazar Jasmine Inx and embossed with Jasmine Embossing Powder. I then paper pieced the scene together and lightly inked around the snowman with Petal Point Inks for some depth.

Before adhering the image, I spritzed the black card with Clearsnap's Vanilla Smooch Spritz.

Wintertime

Time to finish those last minute cards and gifts. I used Bo Bunny pattern papers on this set, first punching along the bottom of my card with Kreaxions punch #311. I loved the open effect along the edge, so I inserted some pattern paper to finish off the bottom of my card.

The stamp was colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped with Donna Salazar Black Inx and then embossed.

The box was made with 2 pieces of pattern paper, each 8" x 8", then folded and scored. No tape was used and the box stays together nicely. I used the same punch on white cardstock and added it around the box. Then, I just added some twine to hold it together and you are done - a perfect box for something small and awesome!!!

Add a tag and voila - done and done.

Winter Wonderland

It is time for snow. I can feel it coming. Who wouldn't love the following card, made with a mixture of Clearsnap and Imaginisce products. It was so much fun to make.

I used the Doodle Rollagraph wheel along the bottom of the cardstock with Jasmine Inx and Embossing Powder. I then used Design Adhesives Snow Fun with Jasmine Embossing Powder along the top section of the card. A piece of Imaginisce Christmas Magic paper was added in the center.

Before adhering the snowman and sentiment, I spritzed them with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz for a little shimmer. Once they dried, I added them to the card with foam adhesives.

Christmas is only a few days away and it's time to finish up Christmas card. I've had this stamp for quite awhile, but could never get the stamped image to look quite right. But, I was able to finally get the look I wanted with Colorbox's Petal Point Celebration Inks and Scentz Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder.

Cut cardstock to fit card front.
Cut 2 pieces of Graphic45 pattern paper to fit front.
Punch edge of one with Fiskars punch.
Ink stamp with 3 stamp colors, being careful not to overlap too much.
Spritz the stamp with water and stamp on white cardstock.
Add Scentz Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder and heat set.
Die cut into a circle and ink edges with gold.
Mat with brown cardstock die cut into a scalloped circle.
Stamp sentiment in gold ink and emboss with Scentz Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder.
Add to card front.

I love that the Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder did not overpower the ink colors. It allowed the colors to show through while providing a nice metallic effect.

Authentique papers are very sturdy and can hold up to the whatever I create. I was lucky enough to work with the Splendid paper line this month. These shoes are always fun to make and this paperline was perfect to use. I love that the papers are doublesided because both sides are visable in my projects. I used my Scor-pal to get good crease lines so the shoes would stand up well. Add a quick and easy matching purse and the recipient is sure to be thrilled!! This purse is about 4" wide, but it's big enough to hold some candy, chapstick or even a gift card.

I wrapped up some candy kisses and placed them inside the shoes for a little something sweet for the recipient.

This is the card I submitted for the first round of the Spellbinders Design Team tryouts. Alas, I did not make it, so I can now show off this card. I love how it all came together.

I started with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles and created the card base, allowing the cutting edge to go off the edge of the cardstock so I had a card. I then used my Scor-pal to score the card. I cut another seperate Scalloped Circle for the top layer which I adhered half way up to create the stand.

I used a digi image from Elizabeth O. Dulemba and colored it with Copic Markers, adding some Spica pens for shimmer.

I cut a Grand Circle from black cardstock and a smaller Circle from gray cardstock. On the gray cardstock, I used Clearsnap's Music Notes Rollagraph Wheel with Ancient Page Pine Ink, then also inked around the edges of the circle. Some black twine from the Twinery was used around this circle.

For the base, I added another gray circle which was inked with Ancient Page Pine Ink. The sentiment was also stamped then inked with Ancient Page Pine Ink was added to the center of the base with foam adhesives to allow the card to stand up once it was open. It's almost Christmas and we are finalizing our gifts. Gifts always need tags, so pull out your supplies and make a few. I guarantee they will be original!!

Giving a bottle of wine at the holidays always seems so boring; however, add a hand made tag and you've got a wonderfully festive holiday gift!

I used the Christmas Gifts Rollagraph Wheel with Stephanie Barnard Strawberry ink, then added Scentz Snickerdoodle Embossing Powder. Not only does the embossing powder create a fun blend of colors when mixed with the red ink, it also gives off a wonderfully festive scent while creating!!

Lots of Thoughts Design Adhesives created the "To/From" on the label and I added Scentz Peppermint Embossing Powder on top. One of the Banner Wishes "Cheers" was a perfect addition under the wreath. Cherry Pie Design Adhesives was used on the banner and Scentz Peppermint Embossing Powder was used on the sentiment.

I die cut holes in the tags and added an Imaginisce die cut Wreath on top. A little red ink just finished off the edges of the die cut. Just place the tag over the neck of the wine bottle and you are done. Why not create one or two today.

Using punch 311 and the Circle Punch, I created a doily for my sentiment, adding brads in the center of the punched pieces.

I cut a larger circle to mat my doily and help it stand out from the background.

Imaginarium Designs is having a Design Team Call so I am showcasing my use of chipboard. I like to create a variety of projects and love to use chipboard for dimension.

I used chipboard elements down the right side of the page to hold information.

This butterfly card has a scalloped circle and butterfly cut from matboard, inked and embossed.

Used chipboard photo turns and letters.

Chipboard cut into 4" squares and covered with pattern paper, creating a post it note holder for coaches/teachers. The chipboard pieces were bound with the Bind it All, then placed in cellophane bags for a quick gift-to-go.

I cut chipboard with my Cricut as the base for the mountains before adding the cardstock.

The chipboard tree was painted and added to my card as the focal element.

For this mini envelope album, chipboard elements were used throughout.

Chipboard cut into 4" squares, covered with pattern paper and bound with the Bind It All to create a mini album about a newborn.

This is a Maya Road chipboard purse with chipboard inserts.

I altered these wooden letters altered with pattern paper and assorted chipboard elements.

Using my Scor-Pal, I made Criss Cross cards from cardstock and decorated them with Jillibean papers. These cards are really quick and easy to do and so much fun to decorate. The interior card pulls out and can showcase a nice sentiment or some more pretty paper.

Little boxes can add just the right touch to any occasion. These little boxes can easily hold 3 Ghiradelli chocolates for a little something sweet for that special "someone". Just add a little ribbon and a tag to finish them off.

Thinking of You

The softness of Clearsnap inks provided a dreamy look to this card.

I used the butterfly punch (604), using the punched butterflies as stencils for the backg round of my card. Placing the butterflies down, I lightly inked over them with Clearsnap's Chiffon Ink. Once I was done, I lightly inked the spaces between the butterflies with Clearsnap's Peridot Ink. A light spray of Smooch Spritz in Vanilla shimmer added a little bit of shine. The sentiment was stamped directly on the inked and spritz background.

Then I used punch #924 to create a border across the center of my card.

Girl Scouts Mini Album

Check out my latest post at Scrappin Sports Stuff . I made this adorable Girl Scout mini album. This mini book was really fun to make and would be a perfect gift for the girl scout in your life or perhaps the scout leader. This K&Co. Girl Scout pad was the perfect choice because it has everything necessary to create this one of a kind mini album.

It was a little hard to choose the papers I wanted to work with because each pattern paper would have worked out beautifully. Once I decided which papers to use, I cut each page to fit my album, adding cardstock for the photo mats, and added titles and phrases.

Once completed, I punched holes in the edges and added the binder rings.

Love is in the air when using Kreaxion punches. Did you know they work really well on glitter paper when used in conjunction with the Punch Mate. The Punch Mate really helps punch through some of the thicker papers on the market.

Using punch 303, I punched along edge of white glitter paper, then sewed it onto the bottom of my card, creating a really fun border.

I have always loved this Stampin Up Stamp and since I needed a Thank you card for a friend, I thought it would be perfect to use with Clearsnap Chalk Ink. I stamped the background with The Stamps of Life and Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Ink, reinking the sentiment to fit my background paper. I die cut the image with Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Ovals and stamped a seperate sentiment to place on top. Before assembling the card, I inked the edges of the background with Clearsnap Dark Brown Ink.

This month's challenge at Scor-Pal is to create a project giving Thanks.

I apologize for the poor quality of my photos this morning. I will try to fix them later.

Using my Scor-Pal, I created a tri fold card, then added elements in keeping with the theme. The lace pattern and cornucopia were die cut with my Cricut. I placed a mat under the lace, then cut it in half to fit the card front. I then cut a flap to fit the card from brown cardstock, then cut a smaller piece of orange to fit on top. I scored 3/8" around this piece and lightly inked it before adding it to the card. The cornucopia layer was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and also lightly inked before adding it to it's base with foam adhesives. Using Clearsnap's Glue Gloss, I added some raffia to the center of the cornucopia.

For the interior sentiment, I used Justrite stamps.

Today's post at JustImagine Crafts shows how I used punch # 903.

Using this punch along the bottom edge of a card really adds a nice impact. I just added a strip of black cardstock behind the punched design to help it stand out.

I then used the wonderful Circle Cutter to cut 2 circles upon which I added a beautiful K&Co. flower and leaf. The sentiment was placed under the circles.

Scor Pal and Bo Bunny

This week is a joint venture between Scor Pal and Bo Bunny. I hope you've been following along and seeing all the wonderful projects being created. There are prizes involved if you follow along!

I had the privilege of working with Bo Bunny's Garden Girl line in conjuction with my Scor Pal this month. Since Bo Bunny was very generous with their supplies, I decided to make a party ensemble.

The Party banner was cut at 5" and 5 1/2" with my Cricut Expression and the Sports Mania Cartridge. The smaller piece was inked with Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Leather Inx and adhered on the larger piece. A small piece of pink cardstock was cut for the top of the banner headers and 2 score lines were made with my Scor-Pal. Ink was added to the score lines to help them stand out a bit. The letters were cut using the Plantin Cartridge and attached to a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle.

The candy bag uses a Bo Bunny die cut that was scored in half with my Scor-Pal then adhered to the top of the bag. A second Bo Bunny die cut and the owl were added on top.

The gift bag uses Bo Bunny cardstock and pattern paper. - score lines were added across the bag just above the pearl accents. Don't you love that owl?

The card was cut 5 1/2" x 11" and then folded to create a center opening. A Bo Bunny die cut was used on the card's front and rub-ons were added. Inside, I added additional Bo Bunny die cuts. The edges were then inked.

It's Halloween and I've got this layout to share. It's my friend's grand daughter and she is just so much fun.

Starting with a sheet of orange cardstock, use the Column Relief Rollagraph across the page, reinking as necessary until the page is covered. Because I did not want to use pattern paper, the Rollagraph provided a subtle background image.

Cut a strip of Design Adhesives in half and place on the left side of the page, one piece above the other.

Gently rub until it adheres, then add Lucky Penny Designer Foils to the image.

Rub Spooky Design Adhesives onto white cardstock. Pulling back the top layer, carefully work one area at a time to add foils and glitter. I used foils on the tree, house, candles and several pumpkins. Glitter was added to pumpkins, bats and the candlelabra.

Once completed, I add silver embossing powder across the entire piece to be sure that no adhesive was left uncovered.

Mat with orange cardstock.

Tear a piece of brown cardstock large enough for your photos and journaling and add to page.

Mount photos on white cardstock, inking the edges with Honey Mix'd Media Inx.

Computer generate journaling on white cardstock, ink edges with Honey Mix'd Media Inx and mat with orange cardstock.

Ink white Thickers with Honey Mix'd Media Inx and emboss with Honey Pearl Embossing Powder - be careful while heat setting the Thickers because the foam will curl and could possibly burn.

Add Thickers to layout using Glue Gloss.

Add rhinestones to the journal block and above the title. Color them with Pumpkin Smooch Ink to coordinate with the layout.

I've got a post on the Just Imagine Crafts blog this morning showing a really quick and easy way to use your punches and assorted supplies. All you need is left over cardstock, pattern paper, ribbon, a Halloween image and, of course, your Kreaxions punch of choice. I chose to use punch 906 with insert C because I just love the corner edges it creates.

I've had this Halloween rub-on in my stash for a long time along with this journal card. So, putting the two of them together made a cute book mark. Just punch the edges around the image and the journal card. Mat both on different colored cardstock. Adhere, add a ribbon and enjoy.

So, remember to pull out your scraps and just punch, punch, punch. You never know what you'll be able to create.

This week's challenge at Justrite is to create with left overs.

No whole sheet of papers were cut in the creation of these mini books. All the papers were left overs from previous projects.

The pattern paper was cut 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" and adhered to chipboard cut the same size, both inside and out for a finished look.

25 index cards (3" x 5") were used for the interior pages.

The sentiments were stamped in black or brown ink and matted with cardstock before adhering to the covers.

Zutter 1/2" wires were used to bind the pages together and ribbon was added for a finished look.

These were very quick and easy to put together and would make a nice gift for a friend, don't you think!

Pumpkin fun

Summer has come to an end and I am loving the colors of Fall, the crisp, clean air and more time to work on projects.

I first decided to create a gift bag and once I finished, I decided to create a matching card.

I first spritzed the bag with Log Cabin and Gold Smooch Spritz. I then created the front of the bag, matching pattern papers and cardstock.

I have had this Sizzix Pumpkin Stencil/embossing folder forever and I used a sponge to pick up Stephanie Barnard Tangerine Ink then Lime Pastel and rubbed the colors onto the stencil. Once I had the Pumpkin covered, I added Gold Embossing Powder. I was hoping to get a funky pumpkin look and I believe I achieved that. We all know that pumpkins are not orange - they have shades of color and lots of warts!!!

I inked the edges with Stephanie Barnard Tangerine Ink and then lightly sponged on some Leather Mix'd Media Inx before matting with cardstock.

This card was created using left over pieces of cardstock and pattern paper. I love creating matching cards.

Today's post at Justimagine - Kreaxions showcases this fun card using "left overs".

At one point, I used the Lattice Die on some cardstock, but never used it. Then I came across a black piece of cardstock that had an oval cut from it's center. So I thought I'd try to combine these items and see what I could come up with.

I glued the Lattice die cut behind the cardstock creating a fun look to the front of this card. Then I die cut the Butterfly die, thinking it might look good with the Lattice die cut. Being a little plain, I used punch #309 on the butterfly wings, inked the edges, then matted it on some red cardstock. I then added a bling "trail".

The card did seem a little plain, so I picked up some left over pieces from punch #309, and created some fun corners for the card. Then I added my sentiment.

So next time you come across left over pieces from your punches, work with them to see what you can create.

Oh yes it is!! Just got a new box of goodies from Clearsnap and I'm in love. Clearsnap has a huge array of Rollagraph Stamp Wheels which you can use to create your own pattern papers, backgrounds and designs. AND they have come out with so many new styles, I'm sure you will love them too. This Christmas Package Wheel is perfect for creating amazing Christmas cards (or even birthday cards), and since Christmas is not too far away, it is a perfect time to get those Christmas cards done. Here is what I created:

The Christmas Packages is new and I decided to pair it with the Music Notes. Using Wicked Black Archival Ink, I inked the full front of the card with Music Notes rather than adding cardstock. It gives a really different look to my card. I added a little spritz of Vanilla Shimmer and Log Cabin Smooch Spritz for a little sparkle, then inked the edges with Stephanie Barnard Spearmint and Colorbox Olive Cat's Eye Inks.

I inked the wheel with Stephanie Barnard's Inks, using Strawberry, Artichoke and Chocolate. Using the Strawberry one for my base piece, I cut apart several packages in different colors and adhered them atop the base with Glue Gloss (love this stuff!) I sponged Artichoke around the packages and matted with red cardstock and adhered to the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Wicked Black, sponged with Artichoke and also matted with red cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesive.

Altered Frame

Do you ever just play with your scrapbook supplies? I know we all use our scrapbook supplies, but have you ever worked on something with absolutely no idea what you were doing and how it was going to turn out? Well, that is exactly what I did today.

Since receiving my box from Clearsnap, I've been intrigued with the wonderful assortment of products and have been playing around with everything. I decided to work with a selection of 4 different Clearsnap products and a wood frame.

I've had this wood frame in my stash for quite awhile and I wanted to create something different, other than just painting or inking it. I pulled out some white tissue paper, placed it on a mat and sprayed it with all 4 colors of Smooch Ink.

While still wet, I squished the tissue paper together, then I sprayed some more Smooch.

Then squished it again into a smaller ball and sprayed some more Smooch.

I painted the wood frame a light green paint. While still wet, I tore pieces from the tissue paper and added it to the wet painted frame.

Work quickly since the paint is used as the adhesive. If you find the paint is too dry, just add more paint before adhering the tissue strips. Continue working until the frame is completely covered. When you are done, spritz the entire frame with more Smooch. It is quite a wonderful mess don't you think?

I allowed about 3 hours for the frame to dry before continuing. When I was confident it was dry, I took some sandpaper and lightly sanded off the excess tissue paper. In spots where the tissue was "pulling up", I added a little more paint. When I sanded off all the excess, I had this nice looking frame. The Smooch provided some nice color and the tissue paper provided some nice texture.

Using the Zephyr Rollograph and Chestnut Roan Ink, I rolled the pattern along the long edges of the frame. Then I added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.

To ink the other sides of the frame, I used an index card as a mask to avoid inking over my first pattern. I again used the Zephyr Rollograph and Chestnut Roan Ink and rolled the pattern along the edge. I then added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.

And the finished frame.

Look at all the texture.

I pulled some flowers from my stash that didn't really go with my color scheme, so I spritzed them with Smooch again to get exactly the colors I wanted.

Bounty of the Season

Justrite's challenge this week is to create a card based on this sketch:

Using Justrite's Cling stamps: A Day in the Country and Hangin' Around, I created this card. I used the pumpkin from Hangin' Around, coloring with Copic Markers, then die cutting the layers with Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities. I inked the top 2 layers with Colorbox Creamy Brown ink to add a little dimension.

Using both stampsets, I stamped the leaves on the beige paper after first inking them with red, green and brown Colorbox ink while on the block. Once stamped, I spritzed this paper with Clearsnap's Smooch Spritz in Vanilla.

I stamped the sentiment with Clearsnap's Stephanie Barnard Chocolate Ink and layered this on a Spellbinders Label die.

A collection of pearls finishes off the card.

Today at Papertemptress, I wanted to showcase Papertemptress' line of Ruche papers. These papers come in 10 different colors, and can be purchased by the sheet or in a package of assorted colors. These papers are lovely, textured and supple. You can do so much with them:

Tearing them gives the paper a two tone appearance.
Stamping in a similar color creates a nice subtle background technique.
Die cutting is a breeze.
Inking adds more color.
Misting adds a hint of irridisence.

Using 3 pieces of Ruche Green; Khaki; and Cocoa Crepe, I inked, die cut, embossed and tore the papers.

In this view, you can see the stamping on the backgound. The die cut leaves were inked with yellow, orange, and brown in an attempt to mimic the colors of fall. Then I sprayed some Smooch Spritz on the leaves and heat set them. The green panel was torn allowing the two toned appearance to show.

Using foam adhesives, I layered the leaves for a 3-D effect.

This is the card I created. I used a Hampton Arts Screen for the corners of my card and inked it with Pistachio. I then spritzed the entire card with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz. The stamps are from Hero Arts and I decided to ink my image with all 3 colors while on the stamp block. I wanted to create a "changing seasons" effect. I then matted it with orange and brown cardstock and wrapped twine around it.

The tags were inked the same and a Hero Arts round pattern stamp was stamped in Picante onto both tags, then "Hello" was stamped in Chestnut. The torn edge of the card was inked in Picante while the other 3 edges were inked with Chestnut.

Today's post at Justimagine - Kreaxions showcases the new punches we received.

Just adding a small border strip across the center of the card with punch # 310 gives a nice added detail that breaks up the pattern paper background. Any punch would do the same, however, I think this punch pattern is very similar to the pattern paper.

I recently had the chance to work with some Crafters Workshop Stencils and I chose to work with the leaves and create a unique background for my card. I created a top fold card from purple cardstock using my Scor-Pal.

Taking a sheet of white cardstock, I placed the stencil and sprayed several colors of Smooch Spritz, allowing a few seconds of drying time between each color. Once I had the look I wanted, I removed the stencil. I cut my piece to size and inked the edges. I also stamped the sentiment and ghost in black ink and embossed each piece. The sentiment was cut to fit the card front and the ghost was cut out.

I then matted pattern paper for the card front, fitting the sentiment on top. I inserted the ghost behind the sentiment with foam adhesives allowing it to "pop" up.

I cut another piece of the background and added it to the interior of the card, stamped the sentiment and embossed it with black embossing powder.

I love using my Scor-Pal and when I had the opportunity to select a stamp from Little Darlings, I chose this to use this "Autumn Friends" stamp. I loved it so much, I couldn't stop creating cards!!!

Once I had my stamped image colored with Copics, I scored around it, creating a nice focal point. I inked the edges with Clearsnap ink, working my way towards the image with a lighter hue.

I added a word paper under the image which I matted with cardstock that I also scored for effect.

I created a top fold card for my next image, and added 3 score lines under the image. The Scor-Pal really provides crisp, clean lines that show up even when using a vibrant striped pattern paper.

Because the Scor-Pal creates perfectly straight lines, I was able to add some bling straight on.

Cut assorted photos into 2” squares and mat onto a block of white cardstock and black cardstock
Adhere to right side of layout
Add a strip of soccer balls across the bottom with foam dots
Create a journal block and adhere under focal photo
Add a strip of grass to journal block with foam dots

Clearsnap has these fun Molding Mats that can be used with the Memory Essentials Inking Handle to create fun backgrounds. For this card, I used the Game Board Molding Mat.

Using ColorBox Pumpkin Pie Dye Ink , I inked the Molding Mat and covered white cardstock, reinking as necessary until I was done. I then cut apart the pieces and, selecting 5 pieces, I inked the edges with Leather Mix'd Media Inx before matting with cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment on the smaller piece and then backed it with a Spellbinders die, adding foam adhesives for dimension, then added a few pearls to complete my card.

This one of the new punches in the store and it has so many possibilities!!!!! If you love the look of doilies, it is so easy to create one of your own in so many different sizes and colors!

I started by cutting out 2 circles with the fabulous Circle Cutter, one was 5" and one was 4". But the sizes can vary based on the card you are creating. Using punch 311 upside down (because it's easier to see where you are punching,) I first punched 4 equally distant punches. You can of course use a stencil to create this card, but I was at a crop without my stencils, so I thought I'd play and see what happened.

Once I had the 4 punched areas, I then lined up my next punch mark with the edge of the punched area, continuing until the whole circle was punched. I then pulled away the unecessary edges and I now had beautiful doilies. The larger doily has 12 punches and the smaller has 8 punches so you can imagine the possibilities when creating larger and smaller circles.

I then placed the larger doily on the card, placed a white circle on top then placed the black doily on top of that with foam adhesives. Another small circle was added to the center with the sentiment using foam adhesives also.

On the Clearsnap blog today, I posted a Butterfly Frame I created. Now I'm showcasing the Butterfly Die on this pretty card.

The Butterfly and the Scalloped Circle were cut with matboard. I added a piece of vellum between the butterfly layers which was inked with Clearsnap's Soft Pastels Petal Point inks and a touch of glitter.

The top most butterfly layer was inked with Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Inx in Jasmine, Periodot, Honey as well as Frost White. I then embossed it with Clearsnap's Opalescent Clear Embossing Powder. Once I placed the pearls, I painted them with Pool Smooch Ink for a little more color.

The scalloped circle was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and Clearsnap's Decades Bon Voyage Blue.

The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Decades Venetian Lace Ink was lightly rubbed across the embossed areas.

The new Scor-Pal challenge is up at Splitcoast Stampers and this month the theme is Sweet Treats. So create whatever it is you want with this theme - packages, cards, layouts, etc.

I decided to create a treat holder for a bag of popcorn. This was very quick to make and looks a lot nicer than just giving someone a bag of popcorn!!!

I cut black cardstock 9" x 6" which allowed just enough of an overlap at the back. With the 9" length across my Scor-Pal, I scored the cardstock at 2", 2 1/4", 6 1/4" and 6 1/2". I cut orange pattern paper to fit each panel - cutting slightly smaller to allow some of the black cardstock to show. I then embossed each panel with a Sizzix Embossing Folder, and lightly inked the embossed sections with some Clearsnap ink. I matted my image on brown cardstock and added it to the front. The sentiment was stamped on cream cardstock and the edges were scored and inked.

I cut the ribbon long enough to wrap around the popcorn bag and tied it into a bow after first putting it through the holes in the cover. Pulling up on the ribbon pulls the popcorn bag out.

World Card Making Day

Hello and welcome to WCMD. This is a day dedicated to our favorite past time - card making. So in honor of WCMD, I pulled out my Kreaxions Punches (#309)and created this card.

I used this punch in two ways. FIrst, can you tell that it is a rose punch. Isn't it just beautiful? I cut my square 2" x 2" and punched the corners using Insert B. I then added a few rhinestones between the punches.

Then I chose to create a border without the inserts. As you may know by now, I love the borders you can create with these stamps. This time, though, I tried something different and punched on top of the first punch to create the same look on both edges of the border. Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I show you how I did this. It is so much fun and I love the added look you can obtain with your punches.

Butterfly Garden

Just posting a recent card I created, based on a sketch by CPS.

Using some gorgeous papers from Papertemptress along with my Scor-Pal, I created the card base (3 1/2" x 9"). Clearsnap has some amazing tools and inks, so using Stephanie Barnard's Tangerine Ink and the Butterfly Garden Rollagraph Wheel, I stamped the butterfly pattern on cardstock and then embossed it with Clearsnap Clear Embossing Powder.

To create the 3 panels, I cut apart the design and matted each piece on orange cardstock. A small strip of brown cardstock was placed on the card and wrapped with twine, then the 3 panels were added with foam adhesives.

Don't always take your stamps at face value - change them up a bit - you never know what you'll create!!

If you've noticed a pattern lately, I just can't seem to get enough butterflies!!!!And today's post is no exception!!

Kreaxions punches can create some wonderful projects and if you have tons of scraps like I do, it's so easy to use these punches to create border strips. So just dig out your scraps and punch away.

I used punch #907 and punched a number of strips. I layered them on my backgound piece so the punched pieces would almost appear to be a quilt-like design. I sewed around the edges to keep all the layers in place.

The butterfly was then cut and embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and added to the card with foam adhesives. A trail of rhinestones completes the card.

Butterflies

Here's another fun card using the vast array of Papertemptress’ papers. Did you know that you can stamp, ink, and emboss with these papers and do such a wide variety of projects?

Using Eclipse Black and Double Duty Pink, along with my Scor-Pal, I created a Z-Fold card. The card measures 5 1/2″ x 11″, but the top panel has been scored, then folded to create the Z-Fold. The Scor-Pal makes scoring and folding so much easier, especially when you are working with a heavier cardstock as I am here.

I embossed the 2 smaller pink panels with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then I lightly inked the edges with some Clearsnap Ink before adhering. On the larger panel, I stamped flowers from Justrite Stampers around the panel, then “painted” the petals with some Clearsnap Smooch Ink.

The labels were die cut with Spellbinder Nestabilities dies from both pieces of cardstock. The edges of the pink layer were again inked with Clearsnap Ink.

The butterfly is a Sizzix die that was cut from scoreboard, inked and embossed. The inner most layer of the butterfly was seperately inked, embossed and placed between the layers. I added some dimension adhesives to give the butterfly some height.

Scor-Pal and Glue Arts

September is well under way and we are heading into Fall and that means Halloween isn't too far behind. This week, Scor-Pal and Glue Arts are hosting a blog hop and each DT member is creating amazing projects with their Scor-Pal and Glue Arts Adhesives.

I chose to create this Halloween card. The UCutIt Foam Adhesive is amazing!!! It cuts like a dream and, as you can see, it can be used in a die cut machine.

Directions:

Die cut the Haunted House using a Sizzix die and the UCutIt Foam (save the little pieces for use on another project).

Gently pulling up the top layer, add Charcoal Glitter to the smoke and Silver Lining Glitter to the roofs.

Now add Clearsnap's Lucky Penny Foil to the remainder of the house.

In some spots, the Foil pulled away parts of the Foam, so I inked over those spots with Clearsnap's Black Mix'd Media Inx for a grungey look.

Die cut the "moon" from orange cardstock and score every 1/4".

Ink the embossed areas with Black Mix'd Media Inx.

Cut a 1" strip of cardstock to fit across the card front, then score along the top and bottom edges.

Add a metal tag with ribbon and twine using Glue Arts Adhesive Squares under the metal tag.

Hambo Stamps had a DT call recently and I was given this Witchy image to work with as part of my application. Isn't she just the cutest?

I chose to color her with Copic Markers in traditional Halloween colors. Then I purposely die cut her off center so I would have room for brads and a sentiment. I lightly inked the outer edges of the die cuts with Clearsnap's Honey Mix'd Media Inx.

The background paper is by GCD and I chose to emboss it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I then lightly inked the embossed areas with Clearsnap's Honey Mix'd Media Inx (love this stuff!).

Hi there. I just want you to know that if you've not tried Kreaxions Glitter Paper, you are definitely in for a treat. This paper is fun to work with, punches well and doesn't "shed". I hate it when glitter paper leaves trails wherever I work.

I used Punch 902 in conjunction with the Punch Mate along the edge of the yellow Glitter Paper. The Punch Mate makes it so easy to use any number of punches. I then sized the glitter paper to fit my card and inked the edges. I trimmed the card about 1/2" to allow the punched edge to show, then placed a strip of brown cardstock underneath. This allowed the punched edge to really pop.

Just above the punched edge, I scored several lines for some dimension. I then stamped my sentiment within those scored lines. Some twine was wrapped around the upper section of the card. The butterflies were created using Clearsnap's Design Adhesives and Designer Foils. This piece was inked and matted on brown cardstock, then added to the card wth foam dots.

Then I just added some pearls to the punched edge.

Here's my card:

I started with white cardstock cut to fit my Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Then I gently wiped the colors randomly across the paper and then spritzed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch for a little shimmer. This created a nice background for the embossed words. Some coordinating cardstock colors, a stamped sentiment and a flower were all that was needed to finish this card.

Today I'm sharing with you an easel card.

Using my Scor-pal, this shaped card was so easy to create. I cut my card from Core-dinations cardstock using Spellbinders Grand Calibre Scalloped Circle Dies, being sure a small section of the cardstock did not cut, thus creating a card. I scored the top panel at 7 1/2" and 8 1/4" to create the folded section of the card which would become the easel.

I folded this section and used Scor-tape to add a seperate Scalloped Circle on top, lining up the scallops.

I added a smaller circle on the card base, inked the edges and stamped butterflies from the Unity Stamp set using Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Inx which I then embossed with clear embossing powder.

I stamped the Lemonade Stand on Cryogen White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers, then cut it out as I wanted it 3 dimentional. Since I wanted to add a small image behind the Lemonade stand, I cut out the center. The mini Magnolia image was also colored with Copic Markers and cut to fit behind the Lemonade stand which was adhered with foam adhesive squares. Before assembling the card, I added some twine behind the layers.

Friends and Butterflies

Sometimes the gift wrapping can be just as important as the gift you give. Giving a gift card can be so impersonal, so why not dress up the packaging so the recipient has something nice to open.

Using a small gift bag from the local craft store, I decorated it with pattern paper and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, allowing "friends" to show. After inserting the gift card, I tied the bag together with ribbon. Then I used the Butterfly die on a large manilla tag. I cut the butterfly from cardstock and the same pattern paper I placed on the gift bag. I ran this layer through my Cuttlebug, then inked the embossed section. After placing the cardstock butterfly on the tag, I used foam adhesive to adhere the second layer, then added some pearls down it's center.

Today I am sharing with you how to create your own background using this 3 color stamp pad. Take a sheet of white cardstock (or the back of some pattern paper you don't like) and swipe the USA ink pad across the paper as often as needed to cover it.

It dries quickly and soon I was able to create this invitation. I cut the backgound 4"x6", inked the edges with the blue ink in this trio, then matted it with red cardstock. I then tied some twine around the block and die cut my other elements using my Cricut Expression. I cut the starred paper 5 1/4" x 7" and also inked it with the blue ink in this trio. Adhering the invitation on top, I added a 1" topper, punched two holes in it and tied a ribbon.

With the left over paper, I decided to create a journal. I die cut the title from the same background paper I created earlier, using my Cricut Expression.

I cut a block of pattern paper to fit the front of my journal and I added the title to the center, surrounding it with some half circles I cut from the reverse side of the pattern paper. I inked the half circles and the edges of the block with the blue ink from this trio, and used Sparkle Fibers for the dot over the "i" just for fun, adhering it with Glue Gloss. I then cut additional circles to use as page breaks and inked them with USA ink pad.

Holding my pages flat together, I "kissed" the pages to my USA ink pad and moved it along until I had all pages covered. This just added a nice finished look to the journal.

I tied some ribbons and twine to the binding just to finish it off.

Merry Christmas Box

It's a double posting day for me. Be sure to check out the Clearsnap blog hop. Today, Scor-Pal is starting monthly challenges! On the first Monday of every month you'll be given a new challenge and there will be prizes!

Today's challenge is very easy.....we want you to make a BOX!

Starting with an 8"x8" piece of cardstock or heavy pattern paper, I scored the paper at 1", 3", 5" and 7". Then I turned the paper 90 degrees and scored again at 1", 3", 5" and 7". Once that is done, cut away all but the center square on each side.

Turn paper on an angle and score the corners diagonally, then fold on all score lines.

Add score tape to the 1" flaps. As you fold the box together, the flaps will fold inside to hold the box shape. Add a 1" strip of cardstock around the top of the box and the sentiment and you've got a cute little gift box to work with.

These little guys measure 2"x2", andd are so quick and easy to make. How about using them as table decorations for the upcoming holidays, filling them with candies or other little goodies for friends and family.

Calendars

Every year or so I purchase a pocket book sized 2 year calendar. It's the perfect size for my bag and with a 16 year old in the house, I need to know what I'm doing and when!!! But, the calendars are always the same old cover from year to year. This year I decided to spice it up and alter the cover.

Using the Circle Cutter and Punch 913 I created a fabulous new look for my calendar.

Very simply, I remvoed the calendar from it's plastic covering, added red dotted pattern paper which was mounted on white cardstock atop the calendar, used Punch 913 (without the inserts) to create a border strip, then used the Circle Cutter to cut the white and black circles large enough to fit my die cut letter.

Can you see how versatile these punches are!!!!!

I printed the year on my computer, inked the edges and placed it on top of the punched edge before adding the circles. Then I added a little bling. Since my bling was clear, I used Clearsnap's Smooch Ink to color the bling.

This was one very quick, very easy and fun project to create.

This card is up on the Papertemptress blog this morning. I paired this adorable GinaK image with some lovely papers from Papertemptress and this beauty was created in no time at all.

I first stamped my image on Neenah Solar White and colored it with my Copic Markers. Using Spellbinders Wonky Squares I cut the image, then cut the second layer from Gold Sparkle, then cut the third layer from Blue Leather. The second and third layers were also embossed with the dies and I love how the papers withstand the pressure of the embossing.

I then placed all my elements on a card base of Black Skinny Stripes which is an amazing paper - strong and durable.

Acrylic Card

I love working with acrylic, but I find it is such a challenge to take a good photograph of the card.

The card is an acryllic sheet by Hambly and I used my Scor-pal to create the fold. This gave it a really nice score line. I used Denim Mix'd Media Inx around the edge of my card for a little dimension.

Using one section of a Design Adhesive and Designer Foils, I added it to the bottom of the my card. They work amazing on acrylic!!!

For the interior, I used Laser Black Glossy Lustre
and Autumn Hay Cardstock from Papertemptress along with some Prima pattern paper. I lightly inked the Autumn Hay Cardstock with Chiffon Mix'd Media Inx".

To finish, I added Twine around the card, placing it on an angle and tying it off on the left side.

Molding Mats

Clearsnap has some amazing tools in their arsenal and I've discovered how awesome the Memory Essential Get Rollin Wheel is. This wheel has a sticky backing (much like you'd use on an acrylic block to mount your stamps before stamping. I decided to add a Molding Mat to the Memory Essential Get Rollin Wheel to create some fun patterns for the background of my card.

This is how the mat looks when adhered to the wheel. Try playing with assorted stamps for different looks.

I inked the mat with Mermaid Archival Dye Ink and rolled across my paper, reinking as needed to complete the background.

I then turned the paper 180 degrees and inked with Robin's Egg Pigment Ink.

Then I turned the paper again and inked the wheel with Silver Pigment Ink.

I then cut my pattern paper to size, and then embossed it with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, inking the raised areas with Canary Pigment Ink. This really brought the words to life.

To finish my card, I added an image from PaperLoft which I first inked with Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink.

This is such a fun tool to play with. I'm thinking about all the fun patterns I'll be able to create with my stamp stash!!!

Scor-pal Last Days of Summer Blog Hop

Summer is drawing to a close and what better way to celebrate Summer than by showcasing summer projects. Check out today's posting at Scor-pal to get all the details of today's hop.

I created this card using an assortment of products, showcasing how amazing the Scor-pal is. Since my card was a little plain around the edges, the Scor-pal added just the right amount of definition.

I cut my striped pattern paper into a block, then scored around the block twice 1/4" apart. A light swipe of white ink helps the score lines show up. Reversing my striped paper, I used the words to create the focal element which I backed with cardstock. I then wrapped Twine around it before adhering it to my card.

Summer was stamped in black ink, embossed and mounted on cardstock before adhering it to the card with foam adhesives. The circular image was stamped on which cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and added to the card with a paper tagger.

Sometimes less is more when creating a stunning card. Using my Scor-pal and Design Adhesives and Designer Foils from Clearsnap, I created a very quick and easy birthday card.

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I scored the cardstock in half to create the card, then scored at the 10", 10 1/4" and 10 1/2" marks to create the bottom border.

After folding the card in half, I spritzed the card front with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. It's very pretty, but unfortunately, it's a little hard to see how shimmery the background is. Then I lightly sanded the edges of the card.

The Design Adhesives are created in such a way that you can use the entire piece or cut it apart. I chose to cut out and use just one of the words.

Then using Designer Foils, I covered the word. I chose to work with a piece of Foil that I had already used because I wanted to show you that you can reuse the Foil if there are still areas that were not used before. You just need to keep moving the Foil and rubbing until your word is completely covered.

I also cut apart the Cupcake Design Adhesives and used one cupcake as the focal point of my card. I placed it on white cardstock, then covered it with Foil. I then adhered it to a Scalloped Nestability Square.

For the interior of the card, I cut white cardstock 5" x 5" and then scored 1/2" around, then inked the edges with Clearsnap's Honey Mixed Media Inx.

Using a Party Design Adhesive, I placed it in the upper left corner and then embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. So you can see that the Design Adhesives work with Foils, Embossing Powders and even glitter. How fun is that!

To finish, I wrapped Cappuccino Twine around the center of the card, then added my elements with foam adhesives.

Good morning. I love making cards and using the Papertemptress papers makes every card you create absolutely stunning!!! My card today showcases 4 paper selections and a different shaped card.

I used Poison Ivory as the base of my card, creating a 3 1/2" x 9" card. Since my paper was 11", I scored my cardstock at 9", allowing for a 2" flap. As I wanted a longer flap, I added an extra piece of cardstock on top to create a 4" flap. I then added Canyon Brown to the top flap (inside and out) to cover the joined area. Jellybean Green was cut to fit the inside.

Using Clearsnap adhesives and foils on Neenah Solar White , I created the font panel of my card. I inked the edges then matted the panel to Jellybean Green, Canyon Brown and Poison Ivory . While these layers allowed the panel to pop and provided stability to my card, it did not add much extra bulk or weight.

I used Clearsnap's Congratulations Design Adhesives and gently rubbed them on the cardstock. Peeling away the top layer, I added different colored Clearsnap Designer Foils to create the fun look to the sentiment. It was easy to do and I was able to reuse parts of the Designer Foils that I used in an earlier project - so NO waste!!!

I then used Clearsnap's new Honey Mix'd Media Inx around the edges of my card for some more dimension. Did I tell you I love this new ink!!!!!! And working with the Foils is amazing!!!

Today I am sharing with you an Easel Card.

Starting with a piece of cardstock 6" x 12", place across the Scor-pal and score at the 6" mark.

Using the Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Circles (3rd from the smallest), lay on top of the folded card, allowing the top edge to be clear of the cutting edge. This creates the edge that keeps the card as one piece.

Once the card has been cut, open it and place on the Scor-pal again, and score at the 8 3/4" mark.

Fold on this mark and add Scor-tape to the bottom areas as shown. Cut another single layer scallopped circle with the same die. This will be used for the top of the card.

Refold the card and lay flat. Align the single layer on top, matching the scalloped edges. This creates the Easel effect.

To finish my card, I cut 2 circles from light blue cardstock and one smaller circle from white. On the white circle I stamped clouds with Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink, then lightly sponged Robin's Egg Pigment Ink about the panel. I stamped, colored and cut out my Magnolia images and placed them on this piece. The little fisherman ponders while fishing in the stream. Then I used Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink around the edge of the panel.

The Magnolia Ink sentiment was stamped with Chestnut Roan, then cut and mounted on blue cardstock. This was added across the center of my card with foam dots. This gives the card it's resting place so that it stands up.

Once I was done, I spritzed Ginger ale Smooch Spritz on the card. It's a little hard to see, but it gives a nice sparkly finish to the card.

Yum - I've been using the new Stephanie Barnard Inks from Clearsnap. These ink pads are extremely juicy and take to glossy paper really well.

I used Pumpkin Ink and swiped it across my card base, then spritzed it with Gingerale Smooch Spritz.

Since I wanted more dimension, I then ran it through my Cuttlebug machine with Swiss Dots, then lightly inked the raised portions with Licorice Ink. What a great combination!

Then I stamped my image on glossy cardstock with Licorice and embossed it with Black Embossing Powder. I cut the image with a Circle Nestabilities and matted it with cardstock. After wrapping some ribbon around the card, I sewed the image to the left side. A little Pumpkin Smooch was added to the moon in the corner.

Too sweet, don't you think?

You are a Wonderful Friend

Good morning. There is something so right about creating with black, white and red. I love the color combination. Today's card at Just Imagine Crafts features punch 921, one of my favorites, along with the Circle Cutter, another favorite!

My card is 5" x 6 1/2" and I punched each corner, then lightly inked them. I cut a smaller mat of red to fit inside my punched area and also punched the corners.

I stamped my image on white cardstock and used the Circle Cutter to cut it to the size I wanted. Because the stamp was larger than I needed, I had to cut off part of the image. That is the beauty of using the Circle Cutter - if you need to make the circle smaller after you've cut it, you can, without a problem. I then cut a larger mat from black and another larger white circle. All the edges were distressed and lightly inked. I added a strip of black cardstock and ribbon across the center of the card which was tied into a bow on the right side.

The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock and also cut with the Circle Cutter - you can make any sized circles you need. Then a larger black circle was cut for the mat. The sentiment was added to the bow with a paper tagger.

I am having so much fun creating with Clearsnap Inks and their Smooch Spritzes. Do you know how easy it is to create the perfect background paper for your projects using Smooch Spritz, Petal Point Inks, stamps and an embossing folder

I first stamped the image and sentiment on white cardstock with black ink.

Next, I spritzed the white cardstock with Smooch Spritz in Cosmic Pink, Gingerale and Pralines & Cream, adding a nice shimmer and shine to the paper. Because I wanted to work with this paper immediately, I heat set it to speed the drying process.

I then embossed the paper with an embossing folder and used Ruby Ink around the edges and across the raised, embossed image. It's easy to ink just the areas you want using this unique style of ink pad because the pad is raised away from the base and the Petal Point allows for more precise control of where the ink is applied.

I cut out the image and inked the edges with the Ruby Petal Point ink and added it to the diecut black oval with foam dots. The sentiment was also inked, matted with black cardstock and added to the card with foam dots just above the image. Stick pins were added to knot of the ribbon just for fun. I adhered the finished patterned paper to black cardstock, added a ribbon around the card, then placed the embellished die cut oval on top.

Life in the Fast Lane

Good morning one of the new products appearing at CHA was Clearsnap's Memory Essential Terrific Tool Tips . Here's a fun way to use the Tips.

Using the square tip, alternately dab Wisteria and Creamy Brown across white cardstock.

Using Cat’s Eye Dark Brown, run the ink pad between the patterns created by the other inks.

Cut the paper to 5"x5" and ink the edges with Dark Brown. Mat onto a piece of lavender cardstock, then mount onto a brown card base.

This is a look at the final background I created.

Cut a scalloped shape from a Spellbinders die and adhere to the left side of the card, adding a strip of brown cardstock to finish.

Stamp the image on white cardstock and color. Cut the image into a rectangle and corner round the edges. Ink the edges with Dark Brown ink, then sponge Creamy Brown around the image.

Mat with cardstock and adhere to card front.

Stamp sentiment in Dark Brown and emboss with Pearl Embossing Powder. This provides just a hint of sparkle. Ink edges with Creamy Brown and mat with cardstock. Adhere to card with foam dots.

I added a rhinestone swirl to the card, but it did not stand out – so, out came my Smooch and I painted each rhinestone.

Blog Hop w/Scor-pal & The Twinery

Today we are excited not only about our very first Scor-pal blog hop but also to be celebrating the first anniversary of our friends at The Twinery. These two teams have joined forces for an amazing line up of projects that will show you the wonderful things you can create using your Scor-pal along with baker’s twine from The Twinery! From boxes and bags to cards and 3D projects the creativity by these two teams is sure to please.

My project uses the Scor-pal to create a background of diamonds for my card and I've used various twines from The Twinery in my buttons and around my card.

I created the dark blue card base from cardstock and, using my Scor-pal, I scored the cardstock in half. I then cut a slightly smaller piece of cream cardstock and adhered that on top. I cut the light blue cardstock 5" x 5" and, using my Scor-pal, I scored on the angle every 1/4". Once done I flipped the cardstock and scored again, creating a nice diamond pattern for my card.

I stamped my image using the Justrite By The Sea set and colored it with Copic Markers and Spica pens. Using Nestabilities, I die cut the image and the scalloped ovals, lightly inking the edges with with Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Inx.

I added Cappuccino Twine around the center of the card, wrapping it twice, then tying it off at the left side. I then used Maraschino Twine to adhere the buttons to the upper left.
